Job Description Job Description Custom cabinet shop seeking experienced cabinetmaker. Medium size shop environment. Building one-off custom pieces. A qualified candidate must meet to following abilitiesand experience: Minimum 5 years experience with custom cabinetry fabrication. Build custom cabinetry ready for installation. Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings. Create material takeoffs and cut sheets from detailed blueprints and shop drawing specifications. Cutting and joining wood to make parts according to the plans. Assembling cabinets and furniture from shaped components. Install cabinet and furniture hardware according to specifications, including slides, hinges, locks and handles. Utilize hand and power tools such drills, sanders, and routers to complete work assignments. Read tape measure for measuring and cutting cabinet components. Fabricate jigs and fixtures for accurate and repeatable execution of critical fit components. Skill in using veneer, solid wood, plywood and other types of wood. Operate a variety of heavy woodworking machines such as panel saw, table saw, shaper, planer, jig saw, band saw, radial saw, drill press, etc. Assist with loading cabinetry for delivery.
